No, we’re not referring to the MacDonald’s menu option that was discontinued in 2004 after the then much-publicized documentary that showed the devastating effects to our health when eating too much fast food.
We expect no such backlash for offering the ‘XL distance’ at the brand new MetaSprint Series. This ‘supersize’ option is now available at the Aquathlon, Duathlon and Triathlon for athletes who like to go long (in addition to the ‘Discovery’ and ‘Sprint’ distance).
See below the full menu of distances. There is now truly something for everyone: young, old, beginning and seasoned athletes with fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscles.

There will be a Series ranking for the XL distance too. It follows the same format as the Sprint distance with an overall male and female Series Champion and Series Champions for the various age categories.
You earn Series Points by finishing a race. The closer you finish to the Champion the higher your points total will be.
Points = your finish time / winner’s finish time x 100
Total Series Points* = Points Triathlon + Points Aquathlon or Duathlon
*Note: points acquired in one race distance cannot be carried across to the Series ranking for another race distance.
