29 Nov SGX Cares Bull Charge Charity Run Raises A Remarkable $2.25 Million For Charity
The 21st edition of the SGX Cares Bull Charge Charity Run, held at the stunning Marina Barrage on 8 November, was a highly successful event that united over 4,500 runners for an evening of fun, fitness, and philanthropy. Organised by MetaSport for the second year, we introduced several exciting enhancements, ensuring a memorable experience for participants.
For the first time, the event introduced seeded start pens, which improved the runner experience by allowing athletes to compete alongside others of similar ability. This initiative helped create a smoother race day flow and ensured a more enjoyable and competitive environment for all.
In a change from 2023, the run route took participants to Gardens by the Bay East, with its expansive views over the city skyline. Runners from SGX took the podium places in the men’s 5km Mass Run, while SGX and Musim Mas Holding claimed the trophy positions in the women’s run. iFast, Bank of America and Chevron all featured prominently in the top 10.
After the race, participants were treated to a vibrant festival area, which was relocated to the scenic lawn for a better post-race experience under the vista of Marina Bay Sands. The beautifully decorated space, set amongst fairy lights, offered delicious food and a relaxing ambience where colleagues could bond and build camaraderie. The atmosphere was further elevated by the live performance of Velvet Groove, a proud local band that kept the crowd energised and entertained.
C-suite executives from 80 of Singapore’s largest corporations were in attendance, many who ran the 3km Chief Challenge event. Their support was instrumental in raising a remarkable $2,258,888. The funds raised will benefit SGX Cares’ valued beneficiaries, including AWWA, Autism Association (Singapore), Fei Yue Community Services, HSCA Community Services, and Shared Services for Charities.
The SGX Cares Bull Charge Charity Run continues to be a meaningful event that promotes community spirit and corporate social responsibility, leaving a lasting impact on those in need and fostering a sense of unity and generosity across Singapore.
A big thank you to all volunteers and SGX staff who dedicated their time, the Autism Association (Singapore) for packing the finisher goodie bags, and all our sponsors and partners who contributed food, hydration, prizes and products for the event.
